Pumpkin Pie Sundaes with Chocolate Sauce

Velvety homemade chocolate sauce with creamy pumpkin pie ice cream make a winning flavour combination. Stir a spoonful of leftover chocolate sauce into plain soy, rice or almond beverage to flavour it, or just make more sundaes- you know you want to.

Cooking Instructions

Place dark and milk chocolate in medium heatproof bowl.

Pour cream and syrup into a small saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Once mixture boils, immediately remove from heat; carefully pour over chocolate. Stir until chocolate melts and sauce thickens and becomes smooth.

Scoop 2/3 cup (150 mL) ice cream into each of six small bowls; drizzle 2 tbsp (25 mL) chocolate sauce over top of each and sprinkle with pumpkin seeds. Cover and refrigerate remaining chocolate sauce for up to one week.
